Does BetterVPN work in heavily censored countries like Iran or China?
Yes. BetterVPN was designed for networks with deep packet inspection. It uses transports that look like normal HTTPS traffic, multiple regions, and automatic failover. If one server is blocked, the app moves you to a working one.
Does BetterVPN have a kill switch?
Yes. The kill switch blocks all internet traffic on your device the moment the VPN tunnel drops, so your real IP and DNS never leak. It's the same setting people running crypto wallets or remote work sessions usually want on by default.
Can I keep my home country traffic outside the VPN?
Yes. The split-tunnel rules let you exclude an entire country (handy if you live in Iran and need to keep banking and government sites reachable on your local IP), exclude specific apps, or exclude specific websites and IP addresses.
Which platforms have a native app?
iPhone and iPad (iOS / iPadOS), Android phones and tablets, Windows, macOS, Apple TV (tvOS) and Android TV. One subscription covers all of them.
Do you keep logs of my browsing?
No. BetterVPN does not retain your browsing history or the contents of your VPN traffic. Account-level data we need to bill you (email, subscription state) is kept; traffic content is not.
How do I pay for BetterVPN?
Stripe (cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay) and PayPal. You can cancel renewal at any time from the My Subscriptions page; access continues until the end of the period you already paid for.
How many devices can I use?
Your plan covers all the devices you personally use - phone, laptop, desktop, TV. Sign in to the app with your BetterVPN account on each one.
Will BetterVPN slow down my internet?
Encryption always adds a small overhead, but we tune routes and capacity so everyday browsing, video calls and streaming stay smooth. Pick the closest server for the lowest latency.
Can I use BetterVPN for streaming?
Yes. The Apple TV and Android TV apps are first-class - install once and your TV apps go through the VPN automatically.
